Desgracia / Championes

We’ve made wine!  2 different wines made for Mikel and our European Champions of 2025, Arsenal WFC. But only because we’re friends with Andrew & Jo at Highbury Library who know about wine and know winemakers.

Only 300 bottles were made of each wine. DESGRACIA sold out in a single day.

Both were collaborations between ourselves, Bodega La Senda and Highbury Library and were all made in Diego’s of Bodega Wine’s vineyards not far from where Mikel was born in northern Spain. Both wines were made from a blend of red & white grapes.

After repeated attempts to get a bottle of DESGRACIA to Mikel he now has one in his possession (previous attempts included waving one at his Land Rover outside the entrance to London Colney; he obviously thought we were lunatics and drove on, as he was right to). The successful attempt was during a London Colney tour where I interrupted his fish lunch with Jurrien Timber & Albert Stuivenberg to give him his bottle and advised him only to drink it when we won the league (and to have it slightly chilled). We hope you've drunk it Mikel and didn't bin it thinking it was an attempt to poison you.
